Shopify - Common errors and solutions

When using the integration between Shopify and Moloni ON, some errors may arise that prevent your documents from being issued correctly.

In most cases, these issues are due to tax configurations, missing product data, or legal billing requirements.

Below, you will find the most frequent errors and the steps required to resolve them quickly.

Products and/or shipping costs without applied taxes


Tax application is mandatory to complete the process. This error may arise when creating an order or when checking the Logs (Apps > Moloni ON > Logs).

Solution: If the products are tax-exempt, go to the Moloni ON plugin Settings and, in the Products and Taxes section, select the respective exemption reason. If the products have taxes applied, check the tax configuration in your Shopify store to ensure they are correctly set up.

Product not found in Shopify


This issue occurs when an order contains custom products that have not been created in your Shopify store. As the product does not formally exist, the plugin cannot obtain the data required to generate the document in Moloni ON.

Solution: Do not use custom products in orders.

The document set has not been reported to the TA


This error may arise when creating an order or when checking the Logs (Apps > Moloni ON > Logs).

Solution: Report the document set used in the plugin to the TA.
