PrestaShop - Common errors and solutions

The integration between PrestaShop and Moloni ON is essential for automating your business. Check the most frequent errors below.

Error creating a document due to missing taxes on products and/or shipping costs.

The Moloni ON plugin creates documents using the taxes defined in the order.

If an order is created without taxes, Moloni ON attempts to create the document using the exemption reason you assigned in the plugin settings (you can set one exemption reason for products and another for shipping costs).

Solution: If the order has no taxes and you wish to invoice with taxes, you must configure all products and shipping costs in your PrestaShop store to have an associated VAT.

To do this, go to International, then Localization and select the tax package you wish to import for your store's orders.

I changed a simple product to have combinations, but the combinations do not appear in Moloni ON.

Solution: A product created as 'simple' in Moloni ON cannot be modified to have combinations. Therefore, when a simple product exists in PrestaShop and there are stock movements or documents associated with it, it is not possible to create combinations and synchronise them with Moloni ON.

You should set the product to inactive in PrestaShop and create a new product with new references to synchronise the product with its corresponding variations.

The product was not synchronised or does not exist in the Moloni ON account and/or the PrestaShop store.

Solution: Access the Moloni ON plugin tools, select the relevant list, and proceed to import or export the desired product. More information in this FAQ.

The product stock in PrestaShop does not match the stock value in Moloni ON.

Solution: If the correct value is the one in Moloni ON, you should search for the product in the Moloni ON product listing tools and import the stock. This action is available via the Actions button.
