Import data into Moloni ON

At Moloni ON, you can import data to your company from XLS, XLSX, CSV, and SAF-T (PT) files.

This feature facilitates data migration from other invoicing software to Moloni ON, allowing you to have all your information centralised quickly and easily.

What can you import?

From XLS, XLSX, and CSV files:

• Products;
• Customers;
• Suppliers.

From SAF-T (PT) files:

• Documents;
• Customers and Suppliers;
• Products and Categories;
• Taxes and Units of measure.

Data updates

In addition to importing data, both tools allow you to update existing data within your company.

For example, if you are importing product data and some of the imported products already exist in your company, you can select the Update in case of conflict option so that this data is updated.

If you are importing a SAF-T (PT) file, you have an Update option in each section.

Note: To avoid duplicates, unique identifiers such as the customer/supplier VAT number (NIF) and the product reference are used to determine if that data already exists in the company.

Before you start the import

CSV or XLS files can be generated in programmes such as Microsoft Excel (from version 97 to current), OpenOffice, or LibreOffice. It is not necessary to send files with columns in a specific order.
